Why Boehner Wept…

(Note - We, initially, intended to publish this post the day after the Inauguration but other spins got in the way.  Better late than never!)

After hearing the negative, divisive, and typically distorted commentaries from Tea Partied Republican elected and non-elected naysayers including McConnell, McCain and FOXifiers following the President's Inaugural Address, we were reminded of John Boehner's behavior when he was first elected Speaker of the House.  When Mr. Boehner was, first, elected House Speaker , we thought it odd and, admittedly,  a bit amusing how he would weep at a drop of a dime each time he spoke at a podium.

Now we know why…

FOUR YEARS AND COUNTING…
…of Eric Cantor breathing heavily over Boehner’s shoulder like  Star Wars’ Darth Vader eager to lead  a Tea Partied House Republican insurrection whenever Boehner failed to seize the opportunity to actually govern instead of be  stubborn.

FOUR YEARS AND COUNTING…
---of boldly justifying  divisive and hypocritical Tea Partied Republican scripted talking points about the President such as not naming women in the President’s – yet to be completed – second term cabinet after Boehner along with his Tea Partied House blockbusters and US Senate counterparts:  1) insulted and unanimously voted against the first female Latino Supreme Court Justice nominee Sotomayor;  2) insulted and lambasted Susan Rice under racially tainted false pretenses as a potential Secretary of State;  3) insulted and blocked Elizabeth Warren to head the Consumer Protection Bureau, and 4) made a  yet to be apologized for mockery of Secretary of State  Clinton’s very real health scare.

FOUR YEARS AND COUNTING…
… of boldly defending the divisive commentary of the rest of his Tea Partied Blockbusters  falsely accusing the President of not reaching out to them after  1) fellow House representatives Eric Cantor,  corporate welfare champion Paul Ryan and twelve other Tea Partied nation dividers designed their strategy to "break Obama" the very night of the President's first election; 2) he and his Tea Partied US Senate counterpart, "one term president" Mitch McConnell, slept(?!?!?) through the President’s calls the night of his  reelection; 3) he and the rest of the  Tea Partied House Blockbusters repeatedly declined invitations to social events at the White House; 4) he and the rest of the Blockbusters repeatedly refused to meet with the President to negotiate critical health care reform, debt ceiling and fiscal cliff issues;  5) he and  Cantor actually  walked out of meetings with the President  rather than compromise;  6) witnessing his fellow Tea Partied Republican congressional members - old and newly elected -  depart  Washington in droves rather than attend the President's 2013 Inauguration, and 7) Boehner and his Tea Partied Party of Lincoln(!?!?!) declined the President's invitation to view the movie Lincoln at the White House!?!?

FOUR WEEKS AND COUNTING…
---of presiding over the insensitive votes of  179 Tea Partied House Blockbusters who refused to provide Hurricane Sandy relief funding after, immediately and repeatedly voting for even more funding to prior disaster victims residing in states that, traditionally, lean towards Republican voters.

 THREE MONTHS AND COUNTING…
...of backing Paul Ryan's suggestion to - in Ryan's VP campaign  words - "kick the [debt ceiling] can down the road" by extending any definitive decision about the matter until April!

ONE WEEKEND AND COUNTING…
…of presiding over a Tea Partied congressional retreat to discuss how to "reach out to minorities and women"  after selecting a historic plantation as the most appropriate location for the retreat(!?!?!)

Weep on Mr.  Boehner, weep on!
