Republicans hold Loretta Lynch hostage. New Excuse! Old Tricks!

(POST UPDATE: Congratulations to Loretta Lynch! Ms. Lynch was, finally, confirmed on April 23, 2015!)

U.S. Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell,  and his fellow Republicans have held up attorney general nominee Loretta Lynch’s uncontested nomination vote for an unusually lengthy 5 months!

In the history of the United States, 168 presidential nominees have been filibustered - 82 blocked under President Obama, 86 under all other presidents! (See Harry Reid link below.)

Republican lawmakers(?) don’t care if their blockages jeopardize  national security, consumer protections, the placement of non-right wing activist federal judges or any other matter affecting our country’s safety  or its’ citizens’ well- being! (See GOP block nominations links below.)

After holding up Ms. Lynch’s nomination for no good reason, Mitch MConnell and his Republican cohorts came up with a fake reason to justify their unjustifiable hold up.

They latched on to an unrelated fight over abortion funding to make it seem that their lengthy, bigoted and unsubstantiated blockage of Ms. Lynch is legit!

New excuse! Old tricks!
