When John Boehner was, first, elected House Speaker,
we thought it odd and, admittedly, a bit amusing that he would weep at a drop
of a dime each time he spoke at a podium.
On September 25th, John Boehner announced his
resignation from Congress commencing the end of October and he wept!
While
fanatical Tea Partied Republican lawmakers(????) are rejoicing over their
latest victory blaming Boehner for their
racist Block Obama refusal to govern throughout Obama’s presidency,
let’s examine why Boehner wept throughout the past seven years!
FOUR YEARS…
…of former House
Representative Eric Cantor's hovering
over Boehner’s shoulder like Star Wars’
Darth Vader breathing the threat of a Tea Partied House
Republican insurrection whenever Boehner had the opportunity to actually govern instead of be stubborn.
FIVE YEARS…
…of presiding over Tea
Partied Republican House Representatives’ government shut down psychodrama
including, actually, shutting down the government to deny Americans affordable
health care, and threatening to shut down the government again to deny Planned
Parenthood cancer screenings for women!
TWO YEARS…
---of spouting hypocritical
Tea Partied Republican scripted talking points falsely
accusing President Obama of being sexist after Boehner’s sexist Republican lawmakers(????)
insulted, voted against and blocked
President Obama’s nomination for the
first female Latino Supreme Court Justice and Elizabeth Warren’s nomination to
head the President’s Consumer Protection Bureau.
SEVEN YEARS
PLUS…
… of falsely
accusing the President of not reaching out to Republicans after catering to disrespectful Tea
Partied Republican fanatics’ repeated refusals to attend congressionally
oriented social events at the White
House and meeting with the President to negotiate compromise; walking out of
meetings with the President over critical national economic matters; departing Washington in droves rather
than attend President Obama’s 2013 Inauguration, and denouncing congressional protocol to invite a foreign leader to insult the President in a joint session of Congress!
SEVEN YEARS
PLUS…
---of presiding over Tea
Partied Republican lawmakers(???) who would rather satisfy the fanatical bigotry of their FOXified Tea
Partied constituents instead of representing the entire American population
they were elected to serve e.g. voting against Hurricane Sandy relief funding; voting
against relief funding for 9/11 first responders, voting against affordable
health care, voting against stimulating job growth and the economy, and, unpatriotically, blocking legislation to right the wrong of conservative Supreme Court justices’ denial of voting
rights!?!?
ONE MORE
MONTH…
…of weeping!
WE have the power to turn things around.
Get out the vote for 2016!
Spread the word…
