spins, show the love for Valentine’s Day and beyond…
- Practice a random act of kindness.
- Collect canned goods for a food bank.
- Volunteer at a local soup kitchen.
- Support our troops. Send a care package to deployed troops, veterans, wounded soldiers, or to families of soldiers who are deployed overseas.
- Donate books, novels and other reading materials to libraries and schools.
- Teach a computer skill to an elderly neighbor.
- Use social media to spread the word about a worthy cause through posts on your account.
- Participate in a cleanup of a street or a local park.
- Volunteer at a homeless shelter – be a greeter, help cook, serve, clean up.
- Volunteer at a local animal shelter – help clean up, walk/play with an animal,
- Read a book to a child, a blind person or an older neighbor.
- Cheer up a sick friend with a visit or a phone call.
- Collect old magazines and donate them to day care centers.
- Clean up a vacant lot.
- Collect grocery coupons to give to a local food bank.
- Volunteer your talents at a charity event.
- Adopt from a local Humane Society.
- Visit a nursing home – read a book, bring a card, or just be a good listener.
- Shovel snow for an elderly neighbor.
