On April 27th,
Donald Trump gave a factually illiterate foreign policy address best described - in his own terminology - as a reckless, rudderless, aimless
campaign stump speech on everything Trump doesn’t know about foreign
policy!
Donald
promised “ISIS will be gone if I’m
elected president” out of one side of his mouth then on the other side of
his mouth, stated that he was not inclined to deploy US troops for combat. While
not deploying US troops is a good thing, Trump offered no specifics on exactly how “ISIS
will be gone” under his supposed presidency. Maybe Trump plans on building
a “wall” and having ISIS pay for it!
Donald, also, called
for Middle East nations to “do more to
fight Islamic extremism”. How do you think that’s going to go down after
Trump threatened to ban Muslim citizens
from reentering the United States?!?!
Trump falsely claimed that Iran violated the
nuclear agreement when in fact Iran is abiding with the agreement terms.
Trump falsely claimed that Obama “snubbed Israel” when President Obama has
provided more support towards Israel’s national security than any other President in history!
Trump falsely claimed that President Obama’s
proposed defense budget for next year is 25 percent smaller than his budget for
2011 - when in fact it’s larger.”
The above contradictions,
inconsistencies and falsehoods are just the tip of the iceberg. You can read

Here’s another
thing. Trump spent 90% of his all over
the map foreign policy babble lying about President Obama.
His factually illiterate attacks on
President Obama as being weak and having no strategy regarding foreign policy were copied straight out of the Fans of Xenophobia
Cable News(???) misinformation
playbook. The facts of the matter are…
Under
President Obama’s leadership, America has led more than 60 countries to cut off
ISIL’s financing; disrupt their plots, and stop the flow of terrorist fighters
with nearly 10,000 air strikes taking out ISIS leadership, their oil, their
training camps, and their weapons.
Under President
Obama’s leadership, Osama Bin Laden was brought to justice; the leader of al
Qaeda in Yemen was taken out and the perpetrator of the Benghazi attacks sits
in a prison cell.
Under President
Obama’s leadership, the U.S. built a global
coalition among America’s allies with sanctions and principled diplomacy to prevent
a nuclear-armed Iran and led nearly
200 nations to the most ambitious agreement in history to fight climate change.
In addition to
leading the international initiative to stop the spread of Ebola
in Africa, Trump needs to bone up on the fact that when
it comes to every important international issue throughout President Obama’s
terms of office, people of the world don’t go to Beijing or Moscow to lead -
they call us!
