Judge Merrick Garland to counter wealthy
Republican conservatives’ $10 million television and online advertising
campaign for Trump’s conservative Supreme
Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch.
Mitch McConnell and his
fellow Republican Obama-Blockers had
nothing but “words of praise“ for moderate Judge Merrick Garland when he was
nominated and approved for the D.C. Circuit in 1997, but wouldn’t even allow
Judge Garland to have a hearing let alone a vote when Obama nominated him to
fill Justice Scalia’s Supreme Court seat!
During Garland's 1997 nomination for the
D.C Circuit Court, then Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
stated: “By all
accounts, he is a fine person and an able lawyer”
During Garland 1997 nomination for the
D.C Circuit Court, Senator Orrin Hatch R-UT) stated: “Merrick Garland
is highly qualified to sit on the D.C. circuit. His intelligence and his
scholarship cannot be questioned.

Republican officials, the American Bar
Association officially backed
Merrick Garland's nomination for Supreme Court Justice.
On the other hand, the American Bar Association is mum on Gorsuch!
Furthermore, Gorsuch “repeatedly sided
with corporations over working people, demonstrates a hostility toward women’s
rights, and is hewed towards an ideological approach to jurisprudence”. (See Gorsuch links below)
