In 2013 Trump signed a contract with the U.S. Government General Services
Administration containing a clause that reads:
No member or delegate to Congress, or elected official
of the Government of the United States
or the Government of the District of Columbia, shall be admitted to any share
or part of this LEASE or to any benefit that may arise therefrom.
Trump International
is leased from the US Government. As taxpayers,
WE have the right to know how Trump is benefiting
from our taxpayer dollars with his latest, brazen dance with conflicts
of interests.
- The Trump Administration refuses to answer any questions from the press regarding the event.
- The Trump Administration banned the press from covering the event.
- Individuals paid anywhere from $35,000 to upwards of $110,000 to attend.
- No Constitutional checks and balances from Republican Congress!
