Time for a 47% Wake Up Call...

Did you know that the night President Obama was reelected, he made a call to Tea Partied House Speaker Boehner and Tea Partied Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell  to discuss how they could work together, and did you know that the response the President received from both calls was the obnoxious, disrespectful, petty third party message that they were asleep?!?!

I guess Boehner and McConnell were sleep walking when they dallied up to their respective podiums the next day and announced that they wanted to “reach across the aisle” to resolve  the "fiscal cliff" issue, but their whole attitude changed when they woke up a few days later and announced that "reaching across the aisle" didn't include  raising taxes on the wealthy! (By the way, McConnell is up for reelection in the 2014 Midterm elections.)

Sixty percent of Election 2012 Exit Polls reflected that the electorate wanted “fair taxes”.  Paul Ryan’s post election interviews centered on the delusion that there was “no mandate “ from the electorate regarding fair taxation!  House Speaker Boehner announced that although raising taxes on the wealthy was off the table, cuts to Medicare, Social Security and life-saving social programs were definitely up for discussion. House leader Eric Cantor who runs the Tea Partied House majority and Speaker Boehner - with the threat of a Tea Partied Republican rebellion - issued the same sentiments following the election. (By the way Cantor is up for reelection in the 2014 Midterm elections as well.)

The Tea Partied Republican bottom line is to continue giving tax breaks to the wealthy while the nation's tax burden remains on the backs of middle class families and the working poor. That is unacceptable!
