According to an article at bloombergbusinessweek.com below - There
is no more pampered class of air traveler than members of Congress. They have
their own special parking spaces – right up close to the terminal – that they
don’t even have to pay for. Many of them
carry the perk of flying first class. They never have to rush to catch a
flight. Airlines allow lawmakers the special privilege of simultaneously
booking themselves on multiple flights,
so that if they are late or their flight is canceled, they’re guaranteed a spot
on the next one.

ignoring the pain of middle-class and vulnerable Americans - over 10,000
teaching jobs, gone - four million Meals on Wheels for seniors, gone - over
70,000 slots for preschoolers in Head Start, gone - $35
million for local fire departments, gone - access to nutrition assistance for over half a million women and
their families, gone - automatic cuts to
reduce Medicare, increased risk to consumers regarding food safety, postponement of radioactive waste disposals
and more.
