Republicans drove default to the brink in 2011, the US credit rating and US
treasury bond ratings dropped, Americans loss $600 billion from their 401K's, and the global market went into full blown panic mode.

will result in more of the above plus it will disrupt your social security
payments; slam the breaks on obtaining your personal
and student loans; increase your credit card interest rates, and
throw the US and world into economic disarray!

The President met with Boehner. They compromised
on a “grand bargain”. Boehner presented the deal to his Tea Partied non-compromisers and the "grand bargain" bit the dust!
· On October 10, 2013 the Tea Partied House leadership disrespected the President's invitation to talk by sending low ranking Tea Partied lawmakers(s) to demand a temporary debt ceiling vote for 6 weeks(?) and continuation of the government shut down.
How's that for compromise!?!?!
