It’s been a
tough two weeks, but WE rolled up our sleeves, signed petitions, contacted our
congressional representatives, social networked, and spread
the truth – the government is open and our nation can pay its Congressional
authorized bills for the time being.
Despite the
fact that 18 Tea Partied Republican U.S. Senators and 144 Tea
Partied Republican House
Representatives, defiantly, voted to place our government in default, WE provided the
President, Democratic and non-Tea Partied Republican
lawmakers the necessary populace backing to save our government from those who
wish to destroy it, but our work has
just begun!
In the 2010 Midterm Elections, Tea Partied Republicans came out to vote and WE stayed home. As a result, a minority of the electorate (18%) gave Tea Partied congressional lawmakers(?),Tea Partied governors and Tea Partied state legislators free reign to…
- Plunge our government into a $24 billion debt by shutting it down over a law that was passed by Congress, supported in a general election, and ratified by the Supreme Court;
- Not give one Tea Partied Republican House representative vote to stimulate the economy.
- Place the President’s American Jobs Act in Tea Partied Republican lawmakers(?) file 13;
- Deny affordable health care opportunities to constituents ruled by Tea Partied Republican governors and state legislators;
- Not legislate congressional extensions on voting rights denied by conservative Supreme Court justices as issued in the Court’s decision;
- Legislate more stringent Tea Partied Republican governors’ and state legislators’ voting denial tactics;
- Continue placing the Tea Partied Republican lawmakers(?) sequestered burden of funding the government on the backs of the middle class;
- Continue the Tea Partied Republican lawmakers(?) sequestered slashing of government programs supporting the middle class, the working poor, senior citizens, infants, children, women, veterans, active duty military personnel, the disabled, Medicare recipients, preschoolers, K thru 12 students, college students, immigrants, farmers, and small business owners;
- Continue Tea Partied governors’ and state legislators’ war on workers’ rights;
- Continue Tea Partied governors’ and state legislators’ war on women’s reproductive rights;
- To proudly boast on the airways that they voted to plunge the entire nation in to default to satisfy Tea Partied extremists in their tiny, gerrymandered districts!?!?!
