The GOP Congress: Cruising on Snooze Control

Tea Partied Republican congressional proponents of the Constitution have made it their business to not fulfill their Constitutional responsibilities to legislate for the past 6 plus years through 2016 in order to break Obama - their words not mine..

Working with the President to legislate job creation, equal pay, raising the minimum wage, immigration reform, and reversing voting rights taken away by Republican Supreme Court justices are just not on Tea Partied Republican lawmakers(?) Snooze Control itinerary..

They prefer to contribute exaggerated  FOX sound bites for their Snooze Cruise entertainment package with fabricated hearings to trash the Obama administration and Hillary.

One of the major Family Plan members on the Tea Partied Republican Snooze Cruise are wealthy, oil,  gas and drug industry corporate deal makers who shelled out non-refundable down payments to get  Tea Partied Republican lawmakers(?) in office to do their bidding.

Over the past six plus years, President Obama and Vice President Biden each attempted to meet with Tea Partied Republican lawmakers(?)  to negotiate a compromise on how to reduce the deficit by increasing taxes on the top 1% in order to reduce the tax burden levied on the middle class and the poor.

Since looking out for the middle class and the poor wasn’t and still isn’t on the Republicans’ Snooze Cruise itinerary, they walked out!

The President’s deficit reduction plan for the wealthy and corporations to carry their fair share of the national tax burden is, actually, a no brainer, but Republican lawmakers’ won't budge.

They prefer to insure that their Family Plan cruise companions

keep

  • $ 77.4 billion untaxed profits for America’s top 5 corporations
  • $495 billion untaxed profits for America’s 33 remaining top corporations
  • $4 billion oil and gas tax welfare subsidies
  • $1 billion tax havens for the very wealthy
  • $1 trillion total estate tax break for the wealthy up to 20 years
  • 35% extended Republican-led Congress Bush era tax rates for the wealthy
  • 80% national percentage of new income going to millionaires and billionaires

by cutting

  • general education funding
  • early childhood education funding
  • after school program education funding
  • college tuition assistance programs
  • health care premiums for seniors
  • WIC Nutritional Programs for children and infants
  • Health Care Exchange programs
  • community health centers
  • heating oil for impoverished seniors
  • JOB programs
  • home mortgage assistance programs
  • maternal and child health care programs
  • environmental protection programs
  • flood control and coastal emergency programs,
  • women’s cancer screenings under Planned Parenthood
  • and on and on and on.
